In 2020, my husband and I decided to see my OBGYN because we hadn’t gotten pregnant despite not using protection for some time. I was 34, and the doctor suggested we wait a year before exploring further. Luckily, a friend recommended Dr. Steve and Dr. Christodoulos.
After two tests, they found out I had a very low egg supply compared to my age—only about 20% of women are like me. Dr. Christodoulos advised me to freeze my eggs and consider IVF right away because time was running out for me. It turned out to be true; I only managed to freeze two eggs, which was much less than I expected.
The process was frustrating at times. I had to wait a couple of months before the egg implantation because Dr. Christodoulos wanted to make sure my uterus lining was ready. But his attention to detail paid off because I got pregnant on the first try!
The moment I found out I was pregnant was one of the happiest in my life. My precious daughter, Freya, came into the world in April 2022, and I’m forever grateful to Dr. Steve and Dr. Christodoulos. Without them, it wouldn’t have been possible.
